Hi Intel, I am having issues when using Intel ssd tool box 3.51 which I tried to use to upgrade my SSD firmware in intel ssd toolbox, but the firmware upgrade is greyed out. Also I would like to note my SSD is fully usable and is seen in the bios. I am worried about windows management of my SSD and not having intel firmware. I have also noticed small lagging issues and small spikes in the SSD usage under system resources.
Intel solid state drive 600p series 256 GB SSDPEKKW256G7XI
Ryzen 3 1200
Asrock Pro 4 Ab350m motherboard updated to latest bios 4.70
Here is my ssd as seen in the bios:
I followed this thread to try and install NVME and then check if ssd tool box would do the firmware upgrade:
Intel SSD Toolbox - SSD Optimizer is greyed out for my Intel SSD 750
And I get this after using the NVME installer:
After doing further research I looked at the device manager and found this information:
And after doing further research again, I tried to do the manual update. I downloaded to OS independent version and tried it with the with the pendrivebootable program and made a bootable USB, and tried it with unetbootin and I get the following screen? It does not look like the page 13 in the ssd firmware solid state pdf. https://www.intel.com/content/dam/support/us/en/documents/solid-state-drives/Intel_SSD_FUT_2.2.x_User_Guide.pdf
and here is what I should be seeing?
So I just ran graphics / serial selection and here is the result?
I apologize in advance for all of the information.
1) How do I tell if I need firmware for my ssd?
2) Are there alternatives for my system if I cannot get this to work?
3) Am I doing this process correctly?
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Kind regards!
