Hello,
My 540 fails the Full Diagnostic scan. I started having application hanging issues the other day and after ruling everything else out, I ran the Full Diagnostic Scan a couple of times from the Toolbox and it hangs anywhere from 0% to 15%. The Drive passes the Quick Diagnostic scan, passes the Data Integrity scan and has the latest firmware on it, version LSF041C. When I ran chkdsk after the first Diagnostic scan, it found corruption and had to fix a bunch of security descriptors.
I've read three other posts here with the same issue with the same drive. I will not be deleting the full drive and erasing with Secure Erase.
I've attached my SMART details. Everything looks fine.
After chkdsk fixed the drive and I chkdsk'd it again to verify it was good, I deleted the old IntelSSDTDK.log and re-ran the Full Diag until it failed. The IntelSSDTDK.log file is 2.3GB! I've never seen a text file that big. It's attached.
It's nothing exterior to the drive (cable, power, etc...).
Is this a Toolbox issue or firmware issue? I see that it's been on version 3.5.2 since March sometime. Is there and update in the future which solves this issue? I'll add that I've taken good care of this drive for the 1-1/2 that it's been installed. I used to work as a firmware engineer on Datacenter SSDs there at Intel.
Thanks
